How multi static IP addresses work When you connect to the AT&T network you will get a Dynamic WAN address. The Dynamic WAN address is then associated with your static IP and acts as a gateway for the static IP addresses to reach the network. AT&T doesn't automatically assign static IP addresses to devices connected to the Dynamic WAN.
